I don't have a part number and I don't know the size, but I do know that it's not just the physical size of the clutch you need to worry about. The 8v GTI mk2 has the same size clutch as the 16v but the 16v gearbox has a bigger input shaft so the 16v clutch disc has a bigger hole in the centre accordingly.

As far as I know, the 16v clutch is a 210mm, G60 is bigger again - 230mm

I was browsing Venommotorsport recently and noted they had significant reductions across the board but and nearly certain clutches were included. Sterling is also a little weak at the moment so you may geta decent deal.

Right so going on Mike's post 210mm disc diameter is a start but as I said it still won't tell you for sure whether the clutch your mate has will definitely work.

By the way just to mention; the G60 clutch is a completely different setup to the 8v and 16v mk2. The 02A cable change gearbox in the G60 uses a conventional clutch while the 020 rod change in the other GTIs uses a 'backwards' pushrod operated clutch.
