Nothing wrong with being fussy!! Might aswell do it right now instead of re-doing it down the line!

I have the other mk2 if i was to head up but i dont think i could afford the trip to be honest

 

Got abit done yesterday,

finally went at the engine,

Wont be stripping much more from the engine at the moment, just want to get her onto the engine stand and sort out the mounting for the alternator and power steering pump.
I've borrowed a vr6 alternator from Greg so going to be messing round with mounting that and sorting the belt route for the next while.

Made up a timber rotisserie aswell that the car will be going up onto shortly

Not much Murph, back working again and doing a fas course aswell so not much free time.

I did sell the other mk2 sunday and i'll be clearing the shed out of parts i dont need in the next week.

Once thats all sorted i'll get back at this

Only bought the shell so myself and Murph got bizy,

Not normally a fan of 5doors but going for a bit of a sleeper with this. Car has had alot of work done to it already and came with a pile of extras so well happy.

- front and rear wheel bearings, new rear discs, cacking plates and stub mounting bolts, fitted new mk4 hoses and calipers.
- new tie rods and track rod ends, bottom ball joints and fitted polybushes.
- new H&R Cupkit with new topmounts, bumpstops and dustcovers all round.
- new headlights with Osram bulbs.

No, this was a bog standard 1.6 gl.

Stíofan's mk2 is 1.8t and is a brighter shade of silver.

I got it in Kildare from Muldrift on here.

 

She went to Athlone Murph! The fella who bought her is from cork so hopefully i'll see her again at some stage.

Yea Mark i cant afford a mk2 with a mint body so a sleeper will have to do haha
