i think its time to put a thread for this in members cars as the serious work is finished now, just a tidy up needed.
Here was the project build thread - Click here

Its a 1989 1.8 KR 16v with a turbo technics turbo, manifold and downpipe run by G60 digi1 management.

Today I fettled the back arches to eliminate wheel scrub. I also fitted a brand new rad.

The shit old rad:

The new rad:

In progress:

Fitted:

I also burned a turbo file onto an EPROM chip and fitted it to a spare G60 ecu I had.

I then fitted the chipped ECU and red injectors to the car.

Job done:

Since the higher flow injectors and suitably mapped ECU have been fitted the change in power and delivery is like night and day.

Here are a few pics of the car, it needs a serious clean inside and out.

Thanks for the interest!

kjk, I have no idea of power yet, I will be bringing it to a rolling road shortly because I am dying to know. It wheelspins alot and the clutch slips.

I have never had the pleasure of a spin in a 20vt so i can't compare. but it seems very sedate low down, like a standard 16v, after 4500rpm it just takes off.

Are you heading to Athlone on the 4th? Wouldn't mind taking a look in person.

I never thought of an old red number plate before Trevor, thats an excellent idea, I think it could look really smart.

BTW The wheels should be more red than they appear in the photos, they are tornado red destroyed in brake dust!
