Anyone know of a Vag wiper motor which will replace the piss poor one in the Mk1's??
Theres a guy on ebay selling them as a direct replacement but it works out about €45 after postage so thats a last resort!! Oh, and as expected he wouldnt tell me what car he gets them out of.... was worth a shot!!

will a mk2 motor fit the mk1??? i fitted a motor off of an early mk2 onto my mk1 jetta. it was out of a left hand drive golf so i had to make a new bracket but it works a treat.

the mk2 will need a bracket but crazy quiffs in the uk do the kit, speeds the wipers up a great deal.

You can fit a mk3 motor into mk1 mechanism and no need for a kit; as per this link/how to;
