Anyone got some detailed engine bay pics of a 1.8 Gti? I'm worrking in the bay of mine , seam welding , flushing and smoothing , and need some reference pics , to see which holes I need to keep. There was some butchery done before so there seems to be a fair few "spare" holes about......

I have a 1990, 1.8 Gti in my workshop at the moment with the engine out. Will try and organise some pictures tomorrow and attempt to post, not sure how to do it. Anything in particular you want to see ?.

Would pictures of 1.6 GTi be of much use. Marko has a few pictures of his posted, you could pm him and I'd say he could put up under bonnet pictures.

this yoke came out of cork did it?
if so i was trying to buy it for 6 months and your man wouldnt part with it.
he was after making crap of the drivers door and tailgate,then decided hed do bit of panel beating.

where is the car now and much is done to it?
it wasnt that bad besides the r/h pillar,i was gutted when i called to him lately and he said he sold it.
