Need to decide on what wheels I want for the Cabrio fairly soon and am undecided between 16 x 7.5 Borbet A's (should be a howl to fit without rubbing!) or 13 x 8 ATS classics. Anyway to get an idea of how they'd look I've being trying to google a pic of a cabrio with ATS but to no luck. Dubmodder have ATS in their options but dont have a cab to put them on. Anybody got any pics on file by any chance? Or even a Cab on Borbet A's?

Dude, anything bigger than 15's on early dubs should be against the law!
I put 15's on my Dads Mk1 cabby, coz most places we asked, for wide 13's just laughed, an said nahh, you want 17's mate, thats the style!!????

still wish we had gone for 13's, just at the time they were hard got and usually out of our buget as they'd be coming from overseas! Even with just 15's on the cabby, I had to roll the arches!

Found a set of unique ATS 13's kinda like a 4hole version of a Porsche teledial, an put them on a Polo coupe, only 6j but theyre just sweet!

Check the above link for a Mk1 cabby on 13's

The thing about smaller wheels, is that it lets you get your hubs closer to the floor once youve run out of loops to cut from your springs!!!

Also phat 13's in this country just confuse the fuck outa the locals!

I ran 16's on my last mk1 which is lowered 40mm and it was actually ok but yeah I take your point, you need to avoid speed ramps etc. That link was great cheers!

Anyone else got any pics?

He does share em!

With me, and the rest of the East Coast Oldskool Dubberz,
which is just US! lol
Wicklow aint great when it comes to Vw's, unless you count 5door silver 1.4 MK4's, but since they took over from the 1l Fiesta and Micra on the motoring food chain, i've disinherited them from the family!

We like our cars as low as our morals, and 13's also help ease our ACROPHOBIA!

That ebay link!

you gltta luv the fatherland, they likes their lips, They do the same with bugs, takin stock steels out to 8 or 10j to provide sticky rubber to sleeper cars rollin stock rims!

Early VW rims are'nt as nice as Phat GTI steels though!

Choco, luvin that Jetta and moody clean Polo shot, as ever!

the earge to roll 13s on my semi hood 8v is getting stronger!

oh the lips , the lips, i long for 5inch lips............

Those Mk twooz are on 14's I guess! Any picks of 13's tucked under a mk2? Gonna throw that steel up to it in the mornin tosee how far it comes past the arch, see why you wanted 14in steels for your mk3 if those 14's above are anyything to go by, they look small but fill a Mk2 nicely

You Knowzit blood! Car porn..

You're some man Barry, keeping us well entertained!
That red one with the wide steels under the 6N Polo is a mk2 Jetta if I'm correct, remember seeing it before in PVW.
Might be a bit hard to get that white mk2 onto a recovery truck if the poor devil ever breaksdown
!
