I asked this on the *cough* old forum and got a few good replys but foolishly didnt write them down

I need suggestion and contact details for machine shops to do the following,

Rebore/Hone cyl Block,
Flow Bench a head,
Balance crank & flywheel assembly.

So far i've spoken to Westwood Engineering.. but i'm looking for a few more suggestions?

Cheers,

Mark.

you've spoken to Westward, in my opinion they are the people to do the work(I'm sending them an M3 motor as we speak).
Yeah i would start with Westward, depending on where your from of course, there are some excellent places in Kilkenny and Wexford
I rang them today but Martin wasnt there himself so i could'nt get much info from them. Some user "quattro" i think posted the name of a company in the old forum he used to balance his crank, the 5cyl is an odd beast with a 72 degee opposed crank, kind of need to know what your doing with that one

I did get a headwork done by westward in the past and i really couldnt fault there work, car went like stink after...

If Martin isnt fully confident that he can complete the job he wont take it on in the first place!!!

Where abouts are you? If you're near Galway side , Paul Patrick race engines , is a genius , and an unsung word-of-mouth-style one at that , otherwisw and I'll probably be slated for this , there's Robbie in Trackday Performance. He has the best of CNC lathes , mills etc to machine and balance stuff , and is concentrating on engine work only now , as opposed to "ordinary" metalfab.
We use Morgan Dempsey (044-42756, Mullingar, Co Westmeath) for all that kind of work and find him excellent.
I have used Martin Tracy (Westward) and also found him to be excellent. The only reason that we don't use Westward now as it to far to travel to Enfield, while Morgan is 5 minutes away.

Donnlen's in Lanesborough also have a very good reputation.

John
@redlexus, when TDP were just Peter Breen's i used them and they always had the best machienery and were well able to use it.
Both myself and my dad got lots of stuff done there and quite a few of my dad's mates with "special" engines got work done there too.....
bet you were not expecting that!
