i fitted a genuine seat one in my leon.. one out of a mk1 a3 would be the same. golf/bora one will fit no probs. afaik the mounting bracket are the same

 

Mine broke in the toledo, got one out of an A3 in the scrappy, its the exact same. The golf one will also fit IE. mounts are the same but AFAIK its a different design.

 

I have a mk4 golf one in the attic. I think it's grey velour

 

does anyone know were to get the adapter tread thingy

i bought my armrest brandnew off ebay austria about 2 years ago but it always sat off to one side like it touches the passenger seat, from reading on some forums you were meant to get an adapter which raised that corner and then bolt the armrest frame onto it

a few washers should do the same

i havent got it near it since the cold weather came in but i remember when i fitted it there was barely enough threads for the nut to catch, i would need to raise by about 6-8mm i reckon so washers wont do the job, ill investigate more now the weather is bit better

 

just get some threaded bar and a few nuts
