Right guys

the Kildare meet is back on March 8th! Venue is Sallins (in keeping with the changing venue nature of the meet). Hopefully we'll have and underground car park sorted so we want as many cars clean and spanky for th camera. We also need some budding photograpers if people are willing?

Can we get a few heads with decent cameras there? archie,wesley,bref.... who is up for it?

Lads this car park is literally 5 minutes from the M7 so i expect a decent Dublin turnout.

Jonny that sounds like a great idea on the lights,i'm sure mike can get onto Jason and see if there is a power outlet, even if we can get a decent extension lead there should be one power socket somewhere.

Hi Shane,

I haven't a clue who Mike or Jason is but sounds cool if we can get power. Where is this underground carpark? Is it someone's apartment complex? I use to live in Sallins.

Its near the train station in sallins, not quiet sure of the details but Jason (floyd on here) has a good mate who is manager of euro spar, they own the car park but its not in use - that's my reading of it anyway, mike (mikerd4) will explain better i'm sure.

an unused underground carpark?? that sounds deadly! i'm looking forward to the photos! if anyone has a smoke machine and some colour gels bring them along! or anything else that you think will make it look cool.

Its the supervalu car park. you turn in at the last set of lights out of sallins (or first set if you are coming from naas). Not sure if its unused as such more not used very much. Not sure about power as Jason said some of the lighting has been damaged by a vandal. He should be on soon to post an update

i have my own lights. they're 1000 watts each but all i need to run them is a single/double standard socket. sure if there's power great, if not we'll have to work with what we've got.

QUOTE (mr.sifter @ Feb 24 2009, 09:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>you could use an invertor from the 12v supply in the car to get 230v, wouldnt be fit for 1000watts id say though

yeah i'd say it'd drain the car battery in two minutes flat! i have 2 of those lights so thats 2000watts! enough to light the knickers off a prossie...
if i'm passing sallins over the weekend i might drive down and have a look for myself

Should be able to make this on the way up to college, somebody better remind me closer to the date though so I can give myself time to get off my arse and wash and polish the car!! I'll be looking for an exact map of the town with a big red ring round the carpark too!
