Soo all are welcome
Ah ok, It did actually Richard, It was mentioned in the summary minutes of the AGM as being an upcoming event so implied VAGE officials were organising it. But it seems its just a meet.
Is anyone leaving H20-Ford general area? Would be interested in a convoy up?
Sorry I missed the last meet, heard it was savage from a complete stranger on the street..... Sickened!
Directions as below, meet up will be around lunchtime (say 2pm)
I'll probably be there from around 1 to get some food though.
Directions:
From Dublin:
Take the N7 (Main Cork/Limerick Road)
Once you get on to the M7 after Johnstown just keep going until you pass the 'Welcome to Co Laois' sign. The exit you want to take is the one after this I think. It is the exit for Mountmellick/Killenard/Portarlington
Take this exit and turn right across the bridge, keep going until you come to a T-Junction/Roundabout
Turn left and the place is about 100 metres up the road at the top of a hill. There is a petrol station beside it you can't miss it.
From Cork:
Head for Dublin.
Once you get onto the M7 at Portlaoise keep an eye on the signs for the exits, I think the one you want is the 2nd exit. Its the one that says Mountmellick/Killenard/Portarlington.
Turn left here and take the next left at the next roundabout/T-Junction
The place is about 100 metres up the road at the top of a hill. There is a petrol station beside it you can't miss it.
I'm not sure how many cars were there last year but it was a good turnout that's for sure.
As for driving 2 hours or so to go to an informal meetup well I suppose if you feel like doing it then it is worth it
I've done it in the past and there seem to be a good few people coming from Cork (2 hour drive or so) and other places so you wouldn't be alone in doing it anyway.
