I was on the phone to a main VW dealer yesterday and ordering seals for this and that. I asked for the O ring for the intermediate shaft seal and the parts guy asked me 'whats an intermediate shaft?' .

Now I'm not a mechanic, just a DIY owner/fixer and Haynes reader so please tell me if I'm wrong but I told him it was the shaft which turns the distributor.

Its the same seal as the crank shaft one

n903 535 01 that the green O ring
