straight away but i think the NCT is based on the original registration of the car

 

You just have to get the car registered on the NCT system, I remember having to fax in a copy of the log book for one of my cars!

 

on a side note dont you have to tax a car before they give/send out the logbook

car doesn't need to be taxed to be put through the NCT though as I found out yesterday when enquiring into getting my golf booked in for its' nct (it's in storage), nor do you have to the vechicle insured either (which were both interesting tid-bits of information (Information obtained from the nct customer care person Anne - thanks Anne

Seemingly all you need to do is have the car transported or towed to the nct station.

 

Dont know much on Vrt/Nct.
But if you VRT'd a Car with a Years MOT does it automatically become NCT'D?
or do you gotta put it through again?
