Hi All,

I usually wouldn't post things like this but due to it being my cousin my perspectives have changed.

Please have a look at this site >>> www.damianthetiger.co.za <<<<<<

It will explain things better than I can.

Really what I'm getting at with this mainly is please keep Damian in your thoughts and prayers as I'm sure you can image what he's going through at the moment.

Also I am planning on setting up an account over here to raise some funds for his medical expenses.

To put it in perspective they NEED approx R1 Million South African rand, which is roughly €100,000.

€1 is equal to R10!! So every euro will go a long way to help him!!

So if you'd like to help my family by making a donation please contact me via PM or you could contact my uncle directly via the website.

Thanks
John

Also mods if this is against the rules I do apologise and feel free to remove it, I'm just trying to help my cousin in any way I can!

Hey John I read the site, I wonder if you could set up some kind of screening here for marrow donors, I'd be willing to get tested to see if I am a match and a lot of others would probably be too. I had a good friend who was diagnosed with leukemia right after giving birth to her first child and a donor saved her life.

We are currently looking into this, Adam. I will be contacting the blood banks next week to discuss with them in more detail, soon as I have anymore info I'll let you all know!

I have to get re-tested early next week to see if I am a match aswell so I'm hopeing for the best !

There are already 8 matches but these are all from abroad so there costs would need to be covered, another reason we are trying to raise these funds.

Gotcha, well if there are 8 good matches then it sounds like the most important thing is the financial support, which I hope work out great I will contribute and I bet a few more around here will too.

MODs, sorry to intrude on the forum again.

John, would be handy if you could set up some sort of paypal account to receive donations from people not living near yourself?

Anyway, give me a txt/call and i will be more than willing to donate and test.

Hope for the best,

Matt

Hi All,

Unfortunately Damian lost his battle against cancer early this morning, he's in a better place now IMO!

Thanks again for everyone's support!

It's probably not right to be posting on here at the moment but I have no idea what else to do with myself and maybe this distraction will help me out.
