TDI ones tend to be home made AFAIK

Get a GTI one and replace the letters with a TDI badge

 

...and leave off the GT

this was on the front of my previous golf, but it got stolen off it...

it was the front holder with the GTI replaced by TDI

I put the gt on the front of mine to, also got robbed so I stuck my second on with windscreen sealant.

It's a gti grill badge with the I lopped off

The only proper GTI badge that came on the front of the MK4 was the Anni one. There are no others cuz I looked

PD150's have GT red I at the back so I thought it would be nice to have the same at the front. It doesnt exist for the MK4 but as the POLO GTI is also branded the same and they did one for that!! Frustrating thing is it doesnt fit without modification. So thats what I did and it looks ok

Half thinking of removing it as theres a must of chav about it!!

This was mine,add a 4mo valance to, really adds to the front of a mk4 IMO

 

Yeah the 4mo valance is nice.
@sean w: I think that grill is nice enough.
I think I'll just stick a "Type R" badge on it instead... Rumour has it that adds on 100BHP

Took them off my old car before it was scrapped.

 

Sorry to state the obvious here, but did you try the dealers, less than €20 i'd say? the gti front badge was €12?

 

And the badge just came with the previous car!? Are you talking about sticking the back badges to the front?
I didn't try the dealers because it seems that people on here have more knowledge these days.

 

Yes they're off the back car, if your modifying a standard gti one then all you need to do is slice the letters off and restick them to the grill clip thing..

You get what I mean?

It's a bit weird that they never made a front clip for the GT TDI....

Might be to do with the fact they never made a GT TDI in the first place Jay.

The GT TDI was basically the result of UK car dealers getting highline spec 3 door TDI golfs and sticking some extra badges on them to boost the sales, The even changed the data stickers I've heard. Was basically just done to up sales and nothing to do with VW as it was never an official model.

Edit, They may have used the sport spec ones with the highline interior too as it would explain why some "gt tdi" cars are slightly lower as I know with the Bora the sport model is something like 15mm lower.
