Can someone clarify wether the speed on the Digital Dash Display should be the same as the needle on the speedo, ie. 50 on the needle should be the same as 50 on the digital display. Have no owners manual at the moment. Or is it that it gives an average or something?

That's an average value on the mfa.

I find that the speedo needle reads too high on most cars. So if you drive along at an indicated 60mph and reset the average speed it will often only register 55 or so.

Does that mean that the MPG can't be trusted either?

I find the mpg on my mk2 is about 10-15% off on the optimistic side. So 33-35 mpg on the mfa = 30 in reality
