ya i rather vento fronts way nicer! ya i got 8" borbets so far just have to get stretched tyres for them.
il put up some more pics im still gettin use to site.
anyone no easyiest way of puttin pics up?

There few pictures keith
i have orderd 175/50/r15 for the borbets as there 195/50 and the back are rubing arches with no one in the back so had to rise it up 10mm,
this is car going to dubshed, i had to borrow my freinds 7j borbets for front as 8 to wide at moment,
plan is to cut and roll arches and fit gti arches,
anyone know where id get gti skirts?

wayne iv taken all stickers off but thanks anyway.

 

so been while since i updated, got job in panel beaters for summer so been working on this in spare time,
plan was to tidy up few small bits but has turned into full repsray,
was going to spray it green again as its the easiest way and would look well but im thinkin of going for ether dark blue, black with purple tint or gunbarrell grey?
opinions please??
also got new fogs and indicators, gti bumpers and skirts, full stright true stainless exchaust,
car is just about ready for primer i decided to remove wiper in the boot and flush the hole for cleaner look and also rolled front and back arches so no more rubbin hopfully,
will try get some pictures up of progress soon as i have loads took,
all comments welcome, james.

 

I'd go with Gunbarrell Grey for sure, It's a savage colour,

Well heres a few pictures of whats been happening,
Hole car is now in primer and waiting for it to get painted hopefully in next month or two,

the 8j boberts were to wide for front with the offset so got 4 7j borbets aswel, they needed to be repolished and centres painted.
Going to put 7j on front and 8j on back...

Was thinkin of these back lights?

Thanks lot of work to do still,
cant wait till its sprayed gun barrell grey though..
got early spec vento grill for it aswel and joey mod vento headlights.

 

Small update had two weeks off collage so called up to panel beaters and did bit work on the car,
There was few bits of rust in cills and were pushed up from going over ramps,
So first grinded off stonechip on both sides and pulled out the dents and got them stright then cut out rust and got thomas to weld in new plates,
then grind down welds, fill them, and sand them, then few coats 2 pac primer
Then got front,back bumper, spoiler, petrol flap, grill, mirrors, number plate light surround all primed aswell,
Got few bits flatend down but still good bit of flatining to be done beofore base coat but getting there,

Filled square in bumer and screw holes,


Grill was cracked on corner so filled it with plastic at back,


Picked these up aswel, 2 12 inch subs and matching 6x9,

Do you mind me asking how much they set you back in that condition? Pm if you like rather than posting here.
Want to get a set for my own golf but 9j all around

Got this 4 door 1.9 mk3 for run around till the other one is all finished,
Spent a few days puting wheels, coilovers, gti back lights and spoiler an fixed few little bits door locks mirror etc, just have put new exhaust on it and put her true text. let me know what you think..

 

The 8j Borbet sits nice and neat at the back, do you have any rubbing from the arches at all if you put folks in the back?
Oh and flat caps, you need flat caps

Yeah im waiting to put it through test then she will be put down in the back bit more to have it sitting leval.
No it dosnt rub anymore since i rolled back arches. does infront on lock but there 55 tyres on front, bear in mind its still fairly high in back still so i will proble nead streched tyres all round for to get it to sit the way i want it to be, not really worried now for while as its just to do me till the 3 door golf is done
