Only trouble our Passat gave was the handbrake switch
It's perfect other than that. However, as with all German cars you can get a bad one and it'll squash your sack

The reason we didn't consider an A4 is that we might want to put actually fit people in the rear at some stage that have legs
The A4 doesn't have leg room for some reason

When we were buying the passat , we originally wanted a diesel accord. But the diesel engines are rattling themselves to death after 100k miles so the safer option was a 1.9 Passat. Much better engine that the 2.0 reliability wise
I have it mapped and it pulls plenty enough, would be every bit and lively as the 320

Pity the accords engines are shite, the Irish spec is executive only so it's full spec.
I'd only buy one if it had less that 50k on it

Will you pop a pm over to Murr, he might be looking for a 320, I was telling him about your one a few weeks ago
Don't know his budget but send him a few pics and details anyway

My mates Accord had the chain that runs the oil pump snap. Needed a new engine.

Apparently its common with UK imported ones.

My mechanic was telling me to stay away from the desiel accords because they give nothing but trouble but the petrol ones are bulletproof,

same thing with the 2.0 tdi passats are supposed to be crap also, but as most people know the 1.9 tdi's are brillant

how about a vrs octavia? 1.9 tdi 170bhp with loads of room
