Exhaust And Turbo

620 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Oisin
I picked up my Passat B6 1.9tdi from the garage last night after a service.

I was in as rush as well as the mechanic but he told me there was a small leak in the exhaust but it would require the turbo to be removed to repair it properly. I didn't ask any more questions as I was in a rush, obviously a mistake.

Anyone know what part of the exhaust may of failed and how much it would cost to repair properly?

The closest exhaust part to the turbo would be the cat converter, which I had to remove the turbo to change, maybe thats what he was talking about. If you handy with a spanner, you'd do it all yourself. Be careful with the oil feed to the turbo, it will round easy.
