QUOTE (daveb @ Mar 9 2006, 10:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>lad at work bought a 3.0 TD D-Max and its robbing him on fuel...............anyone know where u can get it converted to cooking oil here in ireland?

http://www.elsbett.com/engl/

think there's a place in Waterford that does something like this. found info on the web a while back.

he could use 50% diesel and 50% veggie oil. no need for any conversion. and he could up the dose to 40% diesel and 60% veggie oil during the summer. the major problem with veggie oil is starting the car from cold. lidi and aldi do veggie oil for 0.69c per litre. works out at around 0.85c per litre and combined. nice saving.

Otto in Ranelagh have a car or maybe knows of a TDI running on Veggie oil, if you call them they might tell you

If I get a chance today, I'll drop in and ask him, spoke to him recently about it
