I would like to remind people that if you are travelling in convoy, you are doing so as individuals and not as part of this site.

We do not condone these convoys to and from meets and shows.

There is way too much messing and bravado that goes on during these convoys.

We want to see everyone get to and from the show/meet safely in one piece and without the escort of the Garda/PSNI.

Thanks

Neilc

You heading up on your own? I'm going up Sunday morning also and was wondering if a few people are meeting somewhere before?

I know Vagdrivers as a whole doesn't condone the convoys but I'm yet to go to any meet and this is my first show so it'd be nice to meet a few people beforehand

Check the back of your licence, a mate of mine was on a provisional up north and he had a small tip in a carpark. It turned out he wasnt insured to drive outside the republic

11am arrival at the show is too late, regardless of whether you are inside or outside. Latest is 10.30am

This is the reply sent out to all entries. The reasons for entry times are for judging and organisation before public arrives.

QUOTE Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to enter your car for Dubshed 2012. We are pleased to tell you that you have been accepted for an ________ place at the show.

Please ensure that you arrive at the showgrounds between 9.00am (indoors)/9.30am (outdoors) and 10.30am to secure your spot and help us get you positioned within the outdoor areas. Entrance to the event will be via the main gate as used in previous years from which point you will be signposted to the main event. Please follow the signs and keep moving as we don't want a queue backing up onto the Lisburn Road. Have the correct payment ready for you and your car plus any passengers.

On arrival at the show you will be given a judging sheet along with a show guide. Please make sure you fill in your judging sheet fully and correctly then promptly hand it into the entries desk in the Balmoral Hall before 11.15. Ensure your car is in a presentable state and ready for judging at 12 noon. We have sponsored prize categories this year by Orchard Auto Care giving you the chance to win some nice cleaning products alongside a nice trophy.

To raise money for our chosen charity this year, Headway, we are raffling off a "Euro Style" mk3 Golf GTI sponsored by Bonar Auto Refinishing, GSF, JK Autospares, Carryduff Tyres and BK Detailing. Tickets for raffle car are currently available from GTINI, priced at ÂŁ5 per ticket. Please see our website for more details on how to purchase.

Available on the day will be a range of Dubshed and GTINI merchandise including hoodies, tee shirts, lanyards and stickers. These will be available from our main sponsor's stand, Blackwater Graphics.

We have lots of traders present at this year's event with a vast range of products on offer. The ever popular "Scrap The Jap" will also be back alongside other charity fundraisers on the day.

The car limbo competition will also be taking place this year. If you wish to participate please email us at dubshed@gtini.com.

Thanks again for taking the time to enter and for all your efforts in presenting your car for show at Dubshed 2012.

Regards,

GTI Northern Ireland Admin Team
