Hi All

I picked up a 5 Door 02 GTi a few weeks ago... I know its not a 3 door but there was something about it that i just couldn't not buy it......

The way it left the factory

-1.8T AUQ 180bhp 6speed
-Sunroof
-Heated Black Leather
-17" Speedline Santa Monica

When i bought it there was 59k on the clock, with a full service history up to 48k and with 2 owner.

So first jobs were the boring stuff....

Full service
-4L Castrol Oil
-OEM Oil filter
-OEM Pollien filter
-NGK .6 plugs
-OEM Timing Belt kit
-OEM Water pump

-OEM Front brake pads
-OEM Rear brake pads

And that was about all the first month got it tracked and ready for the NCT....

Thats a really nice GTI. Looks like you got a minter.

Love the colour and the Santa Monica's. Any pics of the interior.

Hi thanks

Will get pics of the inside up later,

The Santa Monica's broke my heart all four needed a refurb and new Tyers.

That was looking like well over a grand "nuLook" were looking for ÂŁ120+vat a wheel for diamond cutting...

I sold them on and on with the steele's...

Hi thanks

It was NU Luk up the north there just past Belfast. There number is 00 4428 9336 5000.

They have a very good rep but ÂŁ120+ vat a wheel they need to be good.

Hope this helps.

The Santa Monica's are the nicest mk4 oem wheel going, best of luck with them.

Thinking n75 but more investigating will have to be done.

THIS WAS THE PIC I GOT ON THE PHONE FROM ONE OF THE LADS !! I still cant get over why they were so cheep but

Was down picking up my front & rear 4motion valances and got a chance of a few OEM parts Cheap and i mean Cheap....

3 x TT pedals
2 x Golf mk4 mats 5 door
2 x Passet mats
2 x Front & Rear pads
1 x a3 Gear nob

This is what i was left with after the lads had there pick "i did sale a few bits"

Picked up a second hand cloth armrest so sent to be retrimmed in black leather replaced the catch and good as new. This is the cheapest and one of the best mods i think you can do on the interior of a mk4 golf. Find a mate that is selling there bora and swap the vents with the golf one's... Cost 40 minutes and a few bottle's of Corona

There are some more bits that i have done. But next week is a big one.....

Did you fit a rear 4motion splitter?? Did you get an exhaust or tips for the space in the splitter?

Hi thanks

Ya got the rear 4motion splitter. Fitting a cat back Milltek next week, The new one with the GT80 tail pipes so that should sit nicely with the 4motion splitter.

That suspension setup should make some difference to it....

Thanks Mark

Its a long way from finnished or anyway near yours.

Its only a 35mm drop with the cup kit, it keeps some of the comfort of the ome setup and with it been in daily use and a new baby, think its the way to go. Changing the wishbones and bushes are just for good maintence there's only 65k on it. but its 9 years old so will probley change the track rods aswell.

Did i see you looking at doing a dsg Air box ?? going to price the parts tomorrow when i pick up my Wishbones. Will post the price tomorrow.
