My mates son discovered an old VW Camper that was lying behind an old hardware store abandoned and covered in graffiti. The kids had been playing in it and using it as their hangout spot.
So we've been trying to find the owner to see about taking it off their hands and doing it up as a project but then i get an email from my mate entitled "you'll not like this"

i was following up a lead to 3 mk1 jettas locally but by the time i tracked them down they were just gone for scrap

Sounds to me as though you had a lucky escape. Those old Bay Window campers simply soak up money like nothing else ......
