Damaged Subframe Nct

Couldn't see another section for this.

When the tester couldn't open my bonnet he decided he was pissed off and looked for every loose screw on the car. One of the things he put down was that the subframe was damaged. Now, he put a bit of paint on it, and to be fair it's nothing major.

I'm assuming I can just weld a plate over it? It's about 4cm squared where the "damaged" area is, so if I welded a plate over, gave it a skim of chemical metal and painted it up, I can't see there being a problem, or am I wrong?

I've 240,000 miles worth of shit under the car, I'd imagine there's be a problem somewhere!
