Whats the "damage"? Is it just dented from the car being too low?

Pretty much as Shaunie said, it's just pealed back a wee bit in that exact location

 

Weld in a plate. Paint it up. IMO

Not really. Maybe an hour. 4 (i think max 6) Bolts hold the subframe to the body. Remove the 4 bolts holding the wishbones (2 in each). Take out the 4 holding the rack, and 2 holding the dogbone mount.

 

I could just weld on a plate and not have to do any of that

 

4 bolts into car,
4 into rack,
3 to remove dogbone mount,
6 on ball joints,
4 on ARB (if you still have it fitted).

total 21 bolts, 1min 48sec's each, no problem

I've 240,000 miles worth of shit under the car, I'd imagine there's be a problem somewhere!
