Cutting My Springs In Mk2 Jetta

i have a mk2 jetta and is a tad hi i only want to lower the car a cuple of inches is cutting them a bad idea and how much would u cut off the back an front to make it even ?

Some do but I wouldn't bother going the angle grinder route.

Give Keith in Alloy-wheels a call and get some springs. Not expensive.

if you cut the springs too m,uch and go over a bump the springs wont decompress enough to keep tension at the top of the shock and they will fall out of the home for them at the shock top

go onto ebay, u can get a brand new set of cheap budget coilovers, for all 4 corners, that will drop ur car as much or as little as you want. delivered for about 200quid. cheap easy route in my opinion - alot safer than cut springs and u can pass nct with this aswel.

is lowerin springs any good how low would u go with springs tat wont be overly bumpy ?

i've a set a jamex springs here if you want ta make me an offer on them...cost me 120euro delivered...their brand new as never fitted them cause when went takin my suspension out dey were all frigged wit rust...one was even bent...their 80mm drop...
