Anyone supply a disc on its own, best I could get was Capital in Clondalkin who offered to re-cover my old one but I think the springs are a bit too rattly

Don't know of anyone, as I've never fitted a disc on it's own. Would reccomend fitting the complete kit every time.

The price that you'd pay for a disc you'll get a full kit from GSF. I got a full uprated kit for the A4 1.8T for €140.
What car is it?

Try Repco 014554188 they should have a good reconditioned disc in stock if it's not for a really rare yoke (they had the whole kit for the vento VR6 when I went in there)

Its a '92 1.8 Passat CL with ABS engine, I was quoted 185 for a kit from CPL in Maynooth and thats just too much.
It's not that bad, maybe cheaper if you shop around. Still better than removeing the gearbox twice.

Ring Repco and get the kit. I've fitted loads of them and they are grand.
Thanks for all the advice, gave up the silliness and got an LUK kit today from GSF for 135 and they had it in stock.
