I think alot of lads wet sand them, use a compound and polish AFAIK?

 

Common problem on your car
I'm just going at the lamps on my TT
Rub them down with 800 , 1200 , 1500 and 2000 wet and bring them back up with the rotary polisher and megs plastix. 1200rpm first them 1800rpm. Will come up a treat

When you get them looking good as new again,get some lamin-X clear film to protect them and keep them like that.

 

could something similar be done to glass lights?mine have a few light scratches on them
