LOL it is a little , But i like the country side!

Ok go up the n4 from the toll bridge on the m50 , take the celbridge exit . Drive until your in the town of celbridge ,road turns sharply to the right and you will see the hump back bridge

at that junction , turn left onto the "ardclough" road , drive and go through ardlough , you will go over some speed bumps . Keep going and you will come to a hump back bridge , im am 300 meters on the left where the grey ram barrier is

if you get lost , give me a call 0879113843

Thats not the depths of country... my folks are 1 mile outside Celbridge on the same road

Yep, put me down for a remap too - 95 Golf Mk3 GTI 16V, ABF engine... Thanks!

well what can i say?
met up with joe at his place in straffan to have the car remapped and to say i am pleased with the results would be a big understatement!!
compared to the revo remap i had on the last mk4 gti joes work is in a different league altogether the car is so much more powerful but it has lost none of the smoothness that i loved about it. and on top of that joe is a top bloke he spent over 2 hours mapping my car and showing me all of the different parameters he was tweaking and then we took the car out for a blast to check it out.
all i will say is that if anybody is looking to get their car remapped and are thinking of other places to get it done DONT!! get straight on the phone to joe and book it in you wont be dissapointed!
thanks again joe!

Good stuff gtijim. When did you get the car mapped? You will notice more improvments over the days as the ECU adapts to the new settings. I'm just over the moon with my car and how well its performing. Was just out with a friend and he was driving the car and was really impressed with the grunt out of the car and as you said, its still lovely and smooth, even nicer then standard.

A rolling road day should be intertesting once we all remapped.

Dave, post remap my car felt great. Standard 150 bhp and it went okay as you would expect but wouldn't set your world alright. I wanted to get it RR'd fist but the child inside me wanted more power asap haha. But I had no reason to believe the car was lacking any of its standard BHP figure.

Afterward, its bloody flying. So free revving and smooth. Obviously if you gun it from a standing start you are going to be mighty impressed but thats not what its all about. The engine is much more flexible, the turbo works at lower RPM and is happy to spool up much earlier and over taking is a breeze. Top end the car is a beast I can't put it any other way.

Of course I had to give it a high speed test when bringing it home on the queens motorway and its was gutsy, noting to be ashamed off but late last night I had it up in triple figures and had more punch and I'd be happy to say it would hit 140+ if called for. As standard it just didn't feel as responsive when cruising at 100+.

Try get a spin in a remapped car and that will make up your mind for sure. You will be straight on the phone to Joe asking how soon he can get your car done

Thanks lads, I think I'm sold on the idea now. It's just that I've had 4 years troublefree motoring and want to keep it that way for a while more, but obviously I want more power
