Tried him today, heard he was "friendly". He said €400....which is good but like a lot of people I tried to haggle a bit, thinking about it now there was probably no point, anyway I got cut off or else he hung up. Rang him back...he went off at me and then just said bye and hung up. Is that what people call "friendly" these days.

400 is very cheap considering it's door to door.

Ring up and eat a little humble pie he has a great reputation.

€400 and you want to haggle you wont get it any cheaper

Ya I know, don't know why I even tried.....very stupid on my part really, I just threw it into the conversation. I obviously pissed him off. His reaction annoyed me though.

I recently collected a car from Glasgow, I think my ferry with the trailor was €400 plus more. And not to mention the day lost, cost of diesel and the hasstle.

€400 is a good price, Only I had to see the car I would have used him....

i dont think its door to door, you have to collect the car from carlow

Yep, Ronan is right, its collection in Carlow, unless he is passing your way on route to carlow, then he will drop it at your house at an extra charge.

Sorry for not replying to your text Ronan, I deleted it by mistake

I have used John Flynn (pick up in carlow) and Eamon Mc Laughlin, drop at your door for in and around the same money as John Flynn in my experience.

I know for a fact some of the dealers in Carlow don't do business with him because of his attitude.

What car are you bringing over? and how much is the VRT? Where in England is it?

I might be able to help you out if you want the car next week? Can also do you a deal on the VRT.

I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole......

Especially as I saw him using a forklift to push cars around his yard.......

Pretty crooked too..... Doesn't stick to agreed prices.... "oh yeah, that price was in sterling, not euros..."

You can get a return trip with car and a trailer to the UK on Norse Merchant for about €400.
