Mine put out 116bhp from a 115bhp standard engine

I have 2 different reading for mine from 2 different rollers.

121 at the fly wheel from one and 117 at the fly wheel from the other.

With a K&N Panel filter.

is 117 at the flywheel not very low??

slightly off topic but how do rollers get power at the flywheel? surely dynos can only give whp. i really know nothing about dynos though.

The standard figure given by VW is at the flywheel.

agh. didn't know that.

is that still the case with current gti's, r32s, etc.

what about when say joe power quotes gains for remapping. are they all at the flywheel.

#19 ·
Yes, unless stated at the wheels.

thats what i figured. surely there's no fully accurate way of measurin the flywheel hp on most irish rr settups so why doesn't everyone start usin whp.

am i the only one who think hp at the flywheel is the most pointless figure to know.

Some places have started doing whp figures, A mate of mine had his skyline rr'd and got the results in whp.
