must get the body work sorted first rear bumper and the bonnet are gone behind repair,so must be replaced
then maybe lower the car and the some mechanical issues to be sorted

 

Best of luck with it. Lovely barge. A small bit of tidying & you have £30K sterling worth of motor in its day for very small money.
I picked up a quattro wagon (140 bhp, original "red i", same as yours) during the summer with 192K on it & have 7K+ miles put up on it already without an ounce of trouble.
It's doing a consistent 38mpg, and I see from the uk forums that taking it easy on the 2wd will yield 50mpg, so your bus is no guzzler!

If you find a rear bumper in wine then put my name on it!
Will be keeping an eye on this refurb thread - and better start one of my own too for some competition!

EDIT: Does yours have a nasty dose of laquer rash too? I have a partial power hose ban on mine!

 

Nice barge! there is a lad that comes into where I work with an S6... full leather Xenons etc,.
It would be nice with that kit & a nice set of Rs4's or something.

Small update
Got the starter sorted out because the old one was absolutely cooked it was white,so thats up and runing
Still waiting for all the bodywork to arrive

 

Got the carpet out the other day and discovered this,i guess its previos owner was trying to solve the water coming in by making hole in the floor

Also got my new rear and front bumper and both mirrors and bonnet,so im just waiting for the weather to clear so i can fit them.
