Thought I may as well throw mine up as well, have it since May this year, its a 1990 1.8 16v. Pics were taken on the way home with it in Holyhead (Outside a famous "resturant"

). It needs a few things cleaned up on it and is being treated as a work in progress, but is still being used as a daily driver

As I said before, it's not my fault when people come up to me and offer me a lot more money than I paid for the cars.

There must be a major shortage of VW's in the southeast

The bulbs are white, the orange is from a filter in the gauge itself, will try a green light (bright LED) behind them first and see if that makes any difference

Think I am going to swap the gauges themselves out for a set of VW ones from a Mk1 or Rocco, there seem to be plenty of them on e-bay.com anyways, just have to hear back about the postage and confirm that the light up green

you could always go original Corrado ones......as I have.

part No. * * * 536 919 527 * * * Corrado Gauges!

they can be got here now, Parkes VW dealer in Sligo placed an order for me last year sometime when they were well out of production but some nice dude in the Fatherland actually went and got 100 made up because of our request and now partsforaudi bought up what was left.

Thought they only fitted the later ones Dave??? The early Corrado ones was a pod in the same place that holds 2 gauges. They are out of production, saw one set, just the holder no gauges go for ÂŁ50 on e-bay!! And I'd miss the handy little cubbie hole anyways

Those will fit both models. but as you say the earlier ones were 2 guages and a separate pod.again now, all are out of production.

Ah well, its done now
