Good thinking Kev, Been really thinking about it but not completely sold on them? I dont know why because generally i love black wheels on a silver car? Had this as my wallpaper the last 2 weeks to try help the decision, what do you think?

 

dont do it Shaun....I'd stick with OEM for those rims.

 

If you want them to be a very bright silver try nissan klo it is about the brightest you can get. Ford Machine silver is quite dark and moondust/stardust are in the middle and are pretty much the same colour.

I'd stick with the silver Shaun, RC's look a bit lost in darker colours.
I think there was someone on here got theirs refurbed with a kind of metal flake silver, looked pretty funky!

Cheers TD, Nice colour that, looks similar to the RC colour, Mine are medium silver at the min, done by wheel wheel doctor a few months ago but looking for a different colour now for the summer.

It was stretchGTI that had them done, looked a really nice job, RobTDI was up one of the days dropping parts to mine and his are the non ball burnished finish and really suit the reflex silver it think?

 

L97A Diamond Silver?

Its about as bright as you can get as there is only one tinter in the colour formulation for it, silver

 

I have to say i was impressed with the finish of westdubbers Rc's on his old anni.

He got them done up the north in Nuluk. Hyper Silver is the colour name.
Looks very OEM to me.

 

Heres a few sets that we have done recently and the 3 step pics give an example of how we do them .

1. Pre Sandblasting
2. Post Sanblasting
3. Finished Alloy ( Hyper Silver )
4. Red & White version

Cheers Jeff I was onto you to get the wheels done already alright but I since got a look at a set of factory replacement Rc's and really liked the finished colour so want to get as close as I can to it? At the min I want L97A as it looks very close.

 

There's two other options that lads in the UK have gone with aswell: Shadow Chrome and Aeromax

 

If i was going to refurb aeromax would be the one i would pick out of all the finishes.
Its only £220 for the 4 wheels ans caps too.

 

Do you know if nu luk do that finish? Im not sold on the ball burnished finish if im honest though?

 

It not a ball burnished finish. Its a powdercoat finish.

Its the closest OEM look finish ya can get without having the problems of having a polished wheel.

Aeromax are the only company that can do that finish. They have the licence to it.

 

This is a pic of the finish on a Rc that wasnt done long ago.
I think it looks unreal for a powdercoat finish to be able to get that polished look.

The first sets they did were very like shadow chrome but there tweeking it everytime to make the finsh lighter and look more polished.
