[attachmentid=2060]just adding a photo of my new project, a bit of a long termer this one! probably not worth it judging by all the rust but not many 1.5 tipperary reg ones about. not too sure about adding photos, hence only the one so far.

Thanks for all the support lads, only getting around to replying now, up the walls with various other things! lots of other projects on the go such as 84 mk1 jetta, soon to be acquired 86 Audi 80TD and a sniff of a 90 jetta TD, its pretty much stripped down now so I'll truly get to see how bad the rust is, I'll put up a photo soon as I can, floor pans appear sound but rust in the A pillars is nasty, still after a couple of years welding who knows! and if not patch it up slam it and hoodride it, now its 30 mr NCT can't get his mitts on it!

this project (retirement project at this rate) is very much on the backburner but just said I'd post a few nice rusty images! some other nice rust at the back of the roof and inner front wings, if I win the lotto i'll get cracking straight away, until then at least its tucked up in the dry shed.

You'll certainly have your work "cut out" for you! No pun intended. It does seem very bad, is it worth doing do you think?

maybe the only bit you should cut out is the chassis plate.

TBH i sold a hell of a lot better for parts.

the one i got from to trev was better than that and i broke i for parts.
unless there is something important to you about that particular shell i'd scrap it and look for with a little less rust.
i've do want to stick through that one i would have most of the bit that would fix it up. scuttle panel etc.
