<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yeah, its for my uncle. He's looking for a 95 - 97 Mitsubishi Pajero SWB 2.8TD Commercial.
Givern that the SWB commercial 4x4 is an Irish creation, I'd say you will be out of luck trying to source one in the UK. The distributors, in Ireland, get regular passenger 4x4 from their factory and have a subcontractor, in Ireland, replace the windows, cut out the seats and seatbelts, and install the flat floor required in the regulations. The chances of getting anything other than a Discovery commercial, in the UK, will be remote. You could import a regular passenger vehicle and get it converted to a van, but at that age it's hardly worth while.
I read, at one stage, Toyota were crushing €3m worth of windows and seats each year on the instructions of Revenue who dictated any components removed from the cars must be put beyond use. The van conversion people were running knives through hundreds of brand new leather seats, just to render them unusable again. Madness.
I'd say your best bet is to go to a 4x4 specialist like West End Motors, in Mullingar www.4x4.ie
or Kanes in Granard, Co.Longford, who have up to 200 4x4 in their yars at any one time. They are fairly bluint people but are shifting an incredible amount of 4x4s, apparently at very good prices.
