2010 Golf TDi 2.0 starting issues

Hello, looking for some advice and help. Was wondering if anyone would have an idea what issue we're having. Its a 140 bhp tdi Golf in Highline trim.

Sometimes it starts perfect and has no issues but emits lots of black smoke under rev and emits white like smoke on idle. Then there's times that its extremely hard to start and will emit lots of white smoke when being turned over.

Ive ran the VCDS on it to scan all the modules and found no fault codes at all. I checked the DPF which says 50g of soot both calculated and measured so I assume this is full. But there's no limp mode kicking in or lights on the dash. When the ignition is turned on the DPF light doesn't even emit with the other lights leading me to believe that its been messed with before but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Hey all. Lately my golf has being having occasional 'grumpy' starts. It does not sound quick, but instead turns roughly before starting. Sometimes not starting. About 80 thousand on the clock. I've had a search of the forums, but have not found anything. Thanks for any experience and help
