I just hope they dont come out and have a look and add on Satnav and leather as optional extras to the cost....

ah i doubt they will when its a 2004 reg car... generally they will go out to have a look at it if its 2-3 years old and its already a fairly high spec car... they didnt come out to look at my A4 anyway when i cleared mine...

anyway very nice car... what does the cupra r splitter look like?? post up pics of it when ya have it put on...

Get around having the car looked at be sending the other half down in the golf to clear it, say the car is in the garage or something, if they wont do it bite the bullet and head down yourself.

Its a mint looing car, well wear!

Putting Cupra R lip on on Saturday so ill get picks up then after a good clean and polish.

Theres a few swirl marks on the car where the previous owner seems to have gone mad with a buffer, so I was half tempted to drop it over to Detailer.ie get it sorted out.

Its 190 alright Trevor power comes in a bit smoother than the TDi too smooth for my liking

so gonna have to sort that out.
On that note actually, is there a different boost control valve I could use to make the turbo come in more aggressively?

Send herslef down with the Baby on a rainy day you have a good chance then ehty wont look at it.

hi ,lovely car well wear,
brought in a a6 estate from uk last month , its an s line with sat nav ,leather etc.went in to the vrt to clear it this week, they not only inspected it but would,nt believe me when i said the "extras" came as standard on the s line, they would,nt take my online quote that i had with me , said they had to send the chassis no up to dublin to see what extra,s were fitted and sent me on my way said they would call me tomorrow with the amount due. cant wait for that!!!

sorry ,its a 06 . i went in initally without the car but they asked to see it , said they always had to inspect cars over 05 so you might get away with it .so brought it in and they inspected it pouring rain by the way so that didnt deter them, there is a guy there and thats all he does is inspect vehicles and bring the paperwork in to the desk staff.
then they said they had to send off chassis no to rosslare to check for additional extras. so went in this morning to pay and im been hit with an additional 200 euro for sat nav and cruise control, im going to appeal over sat nav i think afaik it is standard on the s line , the mmi sat nav is a deffo extra though, i have zenons too but that didnt come up as an extra though!
check your co2 on your v5 against the revenue online vrt calculator as it shows mine as 169 when it actually was 172 on the v5, i didnt think it was a big deal but anything over 169 pushes you into the next vrt band 28% of omsp versus 24%.
