1.8t 20v Manifold

Hey lads,

So the manifold on my GTI is blown and the car sounds like a tractor.

My options are to bring it to a specialist exhaust garage that will take off the existing manifold and fix it up (welding i presume?) and fit it back on for about €100

or should I order one of these instead?

Would I see any power gains?

car is already remapped to 195bhp

I wouldn't buy an ebay manifold, id look for a low mileage original manifold and fit that. I bought one for £30.

where did you pick one up?

any idea where would be best to look around dublin?

Got mine from ebay I think, from a 30k mile car, it was in perfect condition.
Those cheap Chinese made ebay ones wouldn't last imo.

I got one of those. Couldn't fit the turbo to the flange. No room to fit a bolt through the hole and not even enough room for a nut to turn!
Material and welds looked ok though,needed a little cleaning inside.
Don't buy one. Buy a jabba if you insist but most people say there's not much need
