Just a quick question! Bought a 02 golf GTI at the weekend (pics to come later!) but I only got one key with it, previous owner said that when he got the car second hand it only had one key. The key I have is just a normal key, it doesnt have remote control central locking buttons which I would have assumed a car of this year and spec would have!!! Anyway Im just wondering if this car would have originally come from the factory with remote control central locking (and maybe an alarm or were they an extra??)?? Im going to ave to get a key made up as a spare key but if possible i would like one with remote central locking, is this possible??

Has it a trip computer? If not then it doesnt have the "tech pack" which included factory remote central locking. retro fit aint easy so go for a good alarm and get full closure.

It was only the comfortlines and highlines that came with the tech pack for 2003 model year. Is her one a base model?

You mean sport seats. yeah its a trendline. No recaros came in 04 Golfs unless it was a leather recaro option on the GTI.

Ronan could sort out remote central locking on that for you easily

Recaro non leather seats were last available on 01 models methinks.
Recaro's always bear the logo.

VW sport seats look exactly the same & have better back support methinks. As long as they have lumbar support.

Did the cloth Recaro's have lumbar support? Or was it optional?

The Recaros have the headrest set into the seat back unlike the sports seats. Material is the same and both have lumbar support.
